I commend you on requesting a critique. I haven't been able to put my confidence into one yet. First this is an amazing photograph. You should be proud. You have so many elements working for you here. The blue background has created a wonderful contrast between it and the subject, plus I find blue always soothing. The droplet is placed in an area of interest and is spot on in focus! If you look at this full view, the lighting really is superb. It has highlighted certain strands that balance out the shadowed areas which for me, is what makes this so wonderful.
The only reason I only scored this a 2 1/2 for originality is because when I saw it in my daily deviations, I thought it was someone edited work that I had viewed already
